dort bin ich ja nun seit samstag abend wieder, vereint mit simon - bald kann die grosse reise losgehn. wenn wir denn mal nen campervan finden. das angebot ist zwar recht gross, aber dank unseren hohen anspruechen ist kaum einer gut genug fuer uns.
zuvor hab ich ne ganz interessante woche in mackay verbracht. zunaechst paar tage in hostels so vor mich hingelebt und einfach mal gar nichts gemacht, sehr angenehm, wenn man zuvor die ganze zeit gearbeitet hat. donnerstag war ich dann mit amanda und freunden den ein oder anderen drink geniessen (dh viel bier und schnaps :>). nachdem ich dann freitag zu amanda gezogen bin machte sie mich am samstag, dem tag an dem mein flug eigentlich meiner meinung nach gehen sollte darauf aufmerksam, dass dieser ja erst fuer den 23. gebucht ist... war mal wieder typisch und endete dann damit, dass ich schmerzhafte 200$ extra fuer die umbuchung zahlen musste. naja wat solls *g*

...from sydney.
i arrived here again on saturday and finally met with simon. now were looking desperately for a campervan. we want something huge and compfy so were having a close look at all the ads but didnt find anything yet. but well hopefully sort that out today.
before syd i spent a nice n quiet time in mackay. first i stayed in hostels where i ended up doin nothing, just watchin tv and reading. i really needed that timeout - after all the work in bowen - you need to rest a bit.
since amanda was very very busy (boo :p) it took us till thursday to meet, but it was a nice time with lots of beer n booze and i also got to stay a night n 2 days at the mulherin casa (=.
when i showed her my ticket for my flight back to syd we or rather she realized that i mixed up the dates so i ended up paying 200$ extra for changing the date. i hate it - whys it always me makin those mistakes ^^
anyway, thanks again for everything manda, cant say that often enough :)

so,
hab grad ausgechecked und verbrauch die restliche internetzeit die ich im hostel habe.
5 mins sagt mir das ding grad.
also, heut nachmittag gehts mit dem bus nach mackay, wo ich die woche bis samstag bleiben werde. dann ab zu simon nach sydney.
mal sehn, wird sicher ne lustige zeit mit amanda, vielleicht find ich ja sogar bissel arbeit da.
groessere updates mit bildern (auch unterwasserbilder mit schoenen fischen etc) gibts bald, versprochen ;)

ill stay there for one week till saturday, then im flyin back to sydney to start my trip with simon.

everythings changin...

jaja,
kaum schreibt man mal was neues, schon aendert sich am naechsten tag alles *g* hab mitlerweile wieder nen job, sogar bei der gleichen farm wo ich die pflanzarbeit gemacht habe, allerdings muss ich jetzt rockmelons ernten. leider nicht so einfach, wie der job zuvor, aber mit guter musik und positivem denken geht der tag dann doch rum und man ist froh, dass man mal wieder ~100$ an einem tag gemacht hat.
am samstag war ich mit paar aus dem hostel chilli picken, also chillis ernten. war schwarzarbeit und ansich nich soo schlecht, man konnte halt sein eigenes tempo durchziehen, da man nach gefuellten buckets bezahlt wurde und nicht pro stunde. reich wird man dabei allerdings nicht, deshalb hab ich dann auch gleich wieder meinen melonen job angenommen.
das wetter ist mitlerweile richtig gut, auf alle faelle sehr warm tagsueber ... und das soll winter sein. ab und an auch bewoelkt, was eigentlich sehr praktisch ist, denn 8,5 std in praller sonne arbeiten macht wenig spass ;)
reiseroutentechnisch hat sich uebrigens auch was getan. durch einige bekannte hier im hostel wurde ich auf deren reisen durch asien aufmerksam. da hab ich mir gedacht, machste doch auch. deshalb will ich, simon hoffentlich auch *g* den letzten monat unseres australien aufenthalts "opfern" um 4 wochen durch asien zu reisen. da wir ja sowieso von singapur aus zurueck fliegen, ist das ne gute basis um mit billigfluegen zb thailand, malaysia, korea, evtl sogar japan etc zu bereisen. hoffe das klappt dann auch, freu mich jetzt schon drauf.

its always the same... once i write an update things change completely the day after *g*im back working at my old farm. since the planting job is finished, stupid boss, why didnt he order new seedlings in time, im picking rockmelons and watermelons now. quite hard job, back acheing, but def better than doin nothing. and if you keep thinkin about the money ur makin, its even more worth it.last saturday i was out pickin chilli with some mates from the hostel. funny thing, i didnt know theyre growing them here. nice one cos you can work at your own speed, have brakes when you want. youre paid by buckets, thats why the boss kinda doesnt care at all.the weathers nice too, after some quite rainy days. very warm during the day, sunny, but sometimes cloudy too, which i appreciate, gotta hate working 8,5 hrs with aussie power sun buring you ;)theres an update on my trip too. i wanna cut my time in australia by one month to have time to travel around in asia. some ppl from the hostel told me about it and i recon its a good idea, cos im having a stopover in singapur anyway, so why not extend it and fly to some countries like thailand, malaysia or korea. should be fun, lookin forward to that :)

boooooring

jetzt raff ich mich doch mal auf und schreib wieder was.ist ja nicht so, dass ich momentan keine zeit dafuer habe, leider, denn zur zeit stehts um die arbeit nicht soo gut wie ichs gerne haette. das liegt vor allem am wetter. die letzten tage hat es stark geregnet, weshalb viele farmen nicht arbeiten, ergo ich auch nicht. desweiteren kann ich meinen pflanzjob nun vergessen, da die felder, welche wir bepflanzen wohl so ueberflutet sind, dass man dort die naechsten 2 wochen nicht arbeiten kann. das war der stand vom wochenende. heute ist nun mein 5. tag ohne arbeit und langsam wirds nervig. anfangs ist es ja ganz nett, mal lang schlafne zu koennen, mal wieder waesche waschen und etwas lesen, aber nach so langer zeit weiss man einfach nichts mehr mit der zeit anzufangen, zumal man ja nicht mal zum strand gehen kann und baden oder schnorcheln kann.naja, aber so schlimm ist es auch wieder nicht ;)ab morgen hab ich dann hoffentlich nen neuen job, klar nicht so einfach und stressfrei, wie der letzte, aber besser als gar nichts, bin ja schliesslich zum arbeiten da. dadurch dass die arbeitssituation hier so seltsam ist, werde ich wohl ne woche laenger in bowen bleiben und danne rst am 17. oder 18. august nach mackay fahren, von wo am 20. mein flug nach sydney geht.soweit das neueste....

its been a while, but since ive got heaps of time atm anyway, ill update this blog.the weather here in bowen has been quite rainy, so most of the farms didnt work, which meant for me and almost all other backpackers from our hostel: no work.and thats not all, due to the rain the fields which i was working on as a planter are that flooded with water that we wont be able to continue working there during the next two weeks.so technically speaking im unemployed, cos i dont have the time to just wait for 2 weeks untill we could start over there.since this is my 5th day off work now, im starting to get very bored, cos theres really nothing you could do here when the weathers bad. of course ive done reading, tv, dvd, sleeping (lots of it), eating (lots of it too, hate it cos you keep on eating when ur bored which is expensive ;)) - but that bores u off after some days too. hopefully ill get a job for tomorrow, maybe ends up into something what ill be able to do untill i leave for mackay, which will be around 17./18. of august. maybe even before but right now i wanna make some money, so im cutting short my visit to manda, but ill be back to mackay soon after that anyway, no worries :)
