exclusive s%#t: english only!

---ok thats a bit old. were in the middle of nowhere now (tennant creek in the northern territory) and will son be at uluru. anyway enjoy!---

i guess it is time for an english update - so here we go:
im in a library atm, no internet so i dunno what was the last bit i wrote about, but i think it must have been fraser island right?

oki, after fraser we continued our way up the east coast.
i think the first mayor stop was great keppel island. the ferry was expensive but well worth it. we were at some beach and spent the whole day snorkling, love the riff n all its fishiies and we also got to swim with some huuuuge turtles, and if i say huge i mean it, must have been about a meter long!

meeting amanda again didnt really work out, but i think u guys know that already. from mackay we did a trip to a nearby national park called eungella. on our way up the hill we blew one of our radiator hoses, which was a bit of an adventure cos there wasnt any mechanic or propper shop up at the national park where we could have it had fixed. so we ended up just buying a clamp and used a bit of rubber and some glue to get that hole sealed again - has been working for some 3000ks now, but finally we got a new one today, was about time for that (lets see how long its gonna take till we change it, were so lazy). back to eungella, that first section we were at wasnt that special, just lots of platipus, i dont really like those guys anyway hehe. at that other section we met loads of german ppl so we had a little party at a picnic ground and went swimming and diving at the nearby rockpools and waterfalls - good fun!

next trip to mention is magnetic island. spent around 2 days there, beautiful spot for sure, spent the night at a beach there and also slept there in our sleepingbags. the next day, woke up pretty early, no shade at the beach of course, we chilled at horseshoe bay, which got a stinger swimming enclosure (those nets they came up with, cos theres loads of toxic jellyfish n stuff up here in tropical queensland during summer), and i spent some hours just floating in the water. u guys gotta try that too, soo relaxing.

from townsville we drove along the great green way all the way up to cairns. inbetween we visited lots of national parks, which meant waterfalls, more waterfalls and yep even more waterfalls. one of em, wallamanfalls is the largest single drop waterfall in australia, not bad eh. of course there wasnt that much water present as usual, typical, so it wasnt really single drop, but still quite stunning. we went down to go swimming in its pool which was a bit scary cos its 20m deep and u cant see anything in there and just as we were about to enter it some biiig fish disappeared. well we survived it, obviously.

in cairns we did some partying again...havent had done that in a while. started drinking a carton of beer with some bloke from our room one hour after we arrived (which was at 10 hehe) and went out for a pubcrawl at 6. that evening ended sometime at around 5-6 the next morning after having been to 7-8 clubs, looong time, lots of beer. was quite fun even though it was a bit expensive, around 100$ grml.
from cairns we went up to cape tribulation and spent a few days relaxing in the daintree national park.
afterwards we got back to cairns and started our extreme week:
day one: bungy jumping. what can i say, not that easy to make u jump off that tower, knowing theres nothing inbetween u and the water for the next 50m. but it was well worth it, try it too, sooo good.
day two: skydiving. now that was extreme, much more than bungy and of course much better. 1 minute of free fall, thats soo mindblowing and the ~6mins of gliding in the air with that amazing view of cairns, the ocean, the reef and the mountains, sweet.
day tree: whitewater rafting. now that was the longest lasting thing we did, took about 5 hrs to raft down the tully river. that was a real workout but well wortht the effort cos it was so much fun. i think im gonna do that again in the states, reallly enjoyed it!
okayy, then we were in a hurry again and drove all the way back to airlie beach in almost one day, looong driving, but were getting used to that.

from airlie we did that whitsunday sailing trip, which wasnt bad, good weather, beautiful whitehaven beach, gotta love the sand. we were a bit short in water during the trip, bloody tank leaking which sucked a bit, but apart from that and the headache that shaking boat gave me, it was a nice trip.

well be driving up to townsville now and then well start our trip all the way to ayers rock tomorrow, thats gonna be looong driving again, but i think its worth it - finally done with the eastcost, at least the whole queensland part. goodbye qld, goodbye u guys,

see ya!
